BA(Psych), Grad Dip(Psych), and MPsych(Clinical)

Tania is a bilingual clinical psychologist and a co-founder of Holding Compassion. Tania has a special interest in working with people from culturally diverse communities and offers therapy in English and Vietnamese. With several years experience working in the private sector and public mental health as a senior clinical psychologist in outpatient settings, Tania brings warmth and curiosity to her work and tailors psychological therapy to clients’ needs.

Tania uses a humanistic perspective within her practice and places value on the importance of a good therapeutic relationship. Tania’s approach to therapy is flexible, integrative and she enjoys working collaboratively with clients to develop a shared understanding of the individual and their unique needs. She has experience supporting clients who are struggling with navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, interpersonal difficulties, perfectionism and body image concerns.

Tania draws from a variety of evidence-based interventions including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, mindfulness, exposure therapy, motivational interviewing and other evidenced based practices.

Tania works with clients aged 18 and older and is a Board Approved Supervisor with endorsement in Clinical Psychology. She holds a Master of Clinical Psychology and Medicare clinical psychology service provider.
